A self-watering glass planter inspired by biophilic design; a concept centred around our affinity to engage with the natural world.
Details
A two-part self-watering glass planter inspired by terraced landscapes and the offset shapes of city balconies. The contemporary shape is designed for indoor planting, with a lower reservoir section for holding water, and an upper section to hold the soil and plants. The two pieces are connected with a cotton trailing cord for delivering water to the roots, using a sub-irrigation and wicking system that puts the soil in contact with the water. As the plant roots absorb water, the soil wicks up more, maintaining a consistent level of moisture in the soil.

Balcony Collection
BALCONY introduces mouth-blown glass planters that borrow their structural, offset shapes from abundant city balconies. The self-watering design for plants, bulbs and herbs uses sub-irrigation to deliver water directly to the roots of the plant.
