Earth Day, like every other, is a day to care, to value the earth and to implement innovative thinking that can restore our world's beauty. It bestows upon us an important moment to connect with the environment around us, and provides ways to support each other and the organisations that are working for change. As human beings, we are all part of nature, and are equally responsible for our actions, our environment and our planet.
This year, the theme for Earth Day is "invest in our planet", specifically focusing on ways to act, innovate and implement long-lasting change for a sustainable future. From building healthy cities and empowering green business practices, to encouraging natural processes and having our voices and ideas heard. As a society, we have started to accept that the climate is changing and that we have to do something about it. It’s no longer enough to simply reduce our impact on the planet, but instead we can shape it, support it and give back to our environment.
