LSA Basis Collection
A small, focused collection of cylindrical jugs handmade from clear and cased-coloured glass. The shape is simple, versatile and contemporary - a working jug that moves easily between water, juice, milk and flowers. Each piece is mouth-blown to create the clean cylindrical body and weighty base, then finished by hand. The rim is scissor-cut, one of the most skilled finishing techniques in glassmaking, and the spout is formed by hand using wooden tooling. The handle is shaped and applied separately, joining the body while the glass is still malleable. The cased-coloured versions add a subtle warmth to the collection, achieved by gathering coloured glass within a layer of clear before blowing. Understated, well-proportioned and entirely handmade, Basis contains the kind of pieces that earn a place on a shelf through daily use.
