LSA Mia Collection
Inspired by the genuine, utilitarian glassware of informal Mediterranean and continental European living, Mia is a comprehensive collection of drinkware, tableware, vases and lanterns mouth-blown from 100% recycled glass bottles and jars. Short, rounded and tapered shapes give the range a casual feel - the kind of glassware that belongs on a weathered timber table, in a summer kitchen, on a Sunday afternoon terrace. Each piece is mouth-blown by skilled European glassblowers, and the recycled construction gives Mia its characteristic subtle green tint, a soft tonal quality that signals the provenance of the glass. The recycled glass is carefully cleaned, crushed and melted before being worked into the Mia range - the same hand process applied to premium decorative pieces, here used to reform post-consumer bottles into honest everyday glassware. Mia is a coherent family of everyday pieces with a clear material story and a relaxed presence.
