LSA Klara Collection
A trio of handmade glass cakestands produced with a thick stem of a different height, Klara has a layered visual character when the three are used together. The collection includes a Cakestand and a Cakestand & Cover, with each piece mouth-blown by skilled glassblowers to produce the tall pillar-stemmed silhouette. The top edge is scissor-cut while the glass is still hot, producing the thick, rounded, soft-looking finish that defines the collection's character. The foot is shaped using a wooden tool and applied by hand to the stem. Scissor cutting is the most skilled of finishing techniques - every step hand-finished. The clean lines of the handmade cakestand are designed to complement sweet and savoury baking alike - a piece that becomes the visual anchor of any table where cake, cheese, scones or small plates are served.
