LSA Melt Collection
Block-like geometric forms whose hard edges have been deliberately softened - as if the glass itself had begun to melt under its own warmth - define Melt. The result is a range of vessels that hold the visual confidence of geometric form while carrying a warmer, more human quality than a purely rectilinear silhouette would suggest. Each vase is expertly mouth-blown into wooden moulds by master glassblowers, with the rounded corners, gently curved edges, thick walls and heavy bases that define the collection. The silhouette reads structurally from across a room and tactilely in the hand - the blocky form inviting pick-up, the softened corners preventing the piece from feeling cold or severe. Melt works for bold floral arrangements that need a visually strong vessel as counterpoint, and equally as standalone sculptural objects on a mantel or console. It is a study in what happens when a geometric form is given permission to loosen just enough to feel alive.
