Terrazza

Terrazza

The Terrazza Collection answers a specific brief - to create planters that give roots the right conditions while making an appealing decorative piece. Floor and desk planters pair mouth-blown glass inner bowls with powder-coated steel columns, lifting plants off the floor and allowing light to reach more of the plant than a solid container would. Grounded in biophilic design.

Terrazza takes its name and cues from abundant roof gardens and terraces - spaces where plants are allowed to grow with presence. The collection is shaped around the principles of biophilic design, treating the planter as a piece of furniture rather than a gardening object.

The glass inner bowl is mouth-blown into a wooden mould by a skilled glassmaker, and its rim is melted for a soft, rounded finish. The bowl then sits inside a powder-coated steel column shaped to support both the bowl and the plant above.

Crafted from clear glass and powder-coated steel. The glass provides a clean, wipeable interior for planting; the steel column provides structure, height and an open channel that exposes the inner workings of the planter as a deliberate design feature.

LSA Terrazza Collection

Terrazza is a thoughtful answer to a specific question - how to create a planter that gives roots the right conditions while also making an appealing decorative piece rather than a gardening object. Floor and desk planters in the range pair mouth-blown glass inner bowls with powder-coated steel columns, creating an elevated platform that lifts plants off the floor and allows light to reach more of the plant than a solid container would. The design is grounded in the principles of biophilic design, which treats plants as active contributors to the feeling of a room rather than as decorative afterthoughts. The open channel in the powder-coated steel base gives the pieces a sense of lightness despite their structural role, and the melted rim of the mouth-blown glass inner bowl adds a soft, tactile quality to the finish. The collection is available in several configurations and sizes, working equally well for an indoor tree in a living room, a herb planter on a study desk or a statement piece on a covered balcony.
