LSA Decanters
Decanting is one of the oldest rituals of the shared table. A bold red given time to breathe opens in both aroma and flavour. A considered whisky poured from a sealed decanter takes on a quiet ceremony of its own. A carafe of water set down for a meal signals a table prepared with care. These are rituals LSA has long designed for.
Many of our decanters and carafes are mouth-blown in Europe, with hand-shaped bodies and fire-polished rims. Where present, stoppers are hand-finished to seat precisely and seal cleanly. Others are produced using precise, repeatable techniques for sets. Proportion, balance and the angle of the pour are considered in each individual piece - a broad-shouldered red wine decanter calls for different making than a slender wine carafe.
A decanter, once chosen, tends to stay. Our decanters and carafes are made to be filled and refilled across years, and handed on.
